Metal
Artists
- Muslimgauze :
massive influence to me along with Aphex Twin and
Drexciya
- Sun Ra : another massive influence... quite fond of late 60s / 70s Miles Davis stuff as well (same for Herbie Hancock; Sextant, Inventions & Dimensions etc.)
- Jim Kirkwood : Lord Of The Dreaming... or more recently Apocalypse of a Soul.
- Luc
Ferrari : like how he arranged sounds and the chosen
sounds.
- Brigitte Fontaine : not her most popular songs though, the gems are hidden.
- Elend
- Bach
- Laibach
- Christian Vander : Magma but not only... like his piano works such as Les Cygnes Et Les Corbeaux or To Love or A tous les enfants... with interesting vocals, Offering also
- Mats / Morgan Band : very eclectic and highly playful fusion sounds
- Frank Zappa : especially like his electronics / classical stuff but has great guitar stuff also
- Jute Gyte : as far as black metal goes (has electronic stuff as well !) i think this project encompass a good chunk of all the goodness in it with bits of modernity (e.g. Perdurance) and i like all the external influences (Ligotti, Negative utilitarianism etc.), same for something like Traumatic Voyage for a more "90s death" (a wilder Edge of Sanity) goodness (+ black elements + electronic music on later albums and many influences that i quite love as well), old Slagmaur also or Obliveon / Meshuggah and derivative (Sol Niger Within), Sadist (Tribe / Something To Pierce) for its exotic sounding death, Sigh... (not western based !)
- Ozric Tentacles; due to the wild blend of electronics, prog and psychedelic rock with ethnic influences, this extends to Shpongle imho (more electronics)
- Kate Bush : same as Björk for me although i might prefer Kate Bush (Big Stripey Lie, Hounds of Love, The Dreaming etc.), Akiko Yano also
- Swans : incredible sounds range with "primitive" means (Blind Love, Your Property, Cloud of Unknowing, The Beggar etc.)
- Thomas Ligotti; more for the lyrics associated to the sounds, gem such as The Unholy City (2003) such as You Do Not Own Your Own Head
- Coil : same (Scatology, Horse Rotorvator, Musick to Play in the Dark and all the 90s ones)
- Current 93 : e.g. Where The Long Shadows Fall etc. (+ collab with Ligotti; In A Foreign Town, In A Foreign Land)
- Primus : some great sounds, groovy, quite like The Residents influences in a "more enjoyable" form factor, also song themes
- Poison Ruïn; incredible post-punk, mix of Oi!, dungeon synth and many other genres, like Killing Joke / early Amebix with modern influences, also like their medieval aesthetics

Misc.
- Deicide Brutal Assault 27 performance... (especially Dead by Dawn at ~12:25 which is incredibly better than the album track and even other performances ! sounds like something straight from Evil Dead, Funerals Obscure by Sadistic Intent band may be a contender (in a Morbid Angel way)
- The Prodigy 1996 Pinkpop performance Breathe especially, kinda appreciate the energy of that song with the explosive rhythm and toned down didgeridoo trance inducing line, the live is kinda great for a breakbeat / rave band and i find many songs better there than on album...
